Julia Breakwell

Julia Breakwell, Vice Principal at Heart of Worcestershire College with responsibility for Student Experience and Stakeholder Engagement and member of Senior Leadership Team.

Julia has lived and worked in Redditch for the majority of her life and is more than familiar with the local area. She attended local schools before moving away to study an Economics Degree at Newcastle University. After university she returned to Redditch and raised her own family, who now have their own successful careers.

Having held successful roles within sales and customer service, Julia joined North East Worcestershire College to work in the Information Team until the College merged with Worcester College of Technology in August 2014 to form Heart of Worcestershire College..

Julia has a passion for education, with expertise ranging across equality & diversity, student welfare, careers and safeguarding. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team Julia leads on safeguarding, careers, learner voice and health and safety across the College. Work Experience is also part of her role, as is Stakeholder Engagement.

Julia is open to discussing work experience opportunities for Heart of Worcestershire College students, and is happy to network and discuss any possible collaboration opportunities with local employers.

There are many other responsibilities that run alongside her College role such as being a Trustee for the Shires Multi Academy Trust, Chair of Board of Directors for Rubicon Leisure and being a member of the Executive for the National Association of Managers in Student Services – to name just a few!
